Young Patronesses of the Opera has had a close relationship with the Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida for decades. YPO has been holding yearly Workshops and Opera Previews for over 300 Girl Scouts since the 1970's . The scouts earn an Opera Patch through lessons in dance, music, make-up and staging centered around one of the Florida Grand Opera’s performances in the upcoming season.

The next Girl Scout Workshop will be held at St. Stephen’s Church on Saturday, January 28, 2011, in Coconut Grove, FL. If your troop is interested in participating in next year's workshop, please contact us the Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida to sign up. (www.girlscoutsfl.org)
